Obviously, everyone’s view of what is considered a large car is different.

What we aim to provide here is the general rule that we follow in making that distinction. The rule we follow in determining what makes a car large is rather simple.

Can your average person, 5 Foot 9 Inches (1.75m) reach the middle of your roof without standing on skirting or a ladder? If the the answer to that question is NO, then you are a large car.

There are some SMALL exceptions to this rule. Those being short wheelbase 4WDs that are tall but fit in the same footprint as your average car. We will always er on the side of caution and classify your car as a normal car if we aren’t sure. What we won’t do is provide a list of cars that are or are not large as this would take far too long and always be changing as new cars come onto the market.

Simple put, no they are not.
